Our NEMA 5-15 Gen 1 adapter lets you charge your Tesla with Gen 1 UMC at standard 120V NEMA 5-15 outlets.

Just like Tesla's OEM adapters, our adapter has an internal circuit that communicates with the car to automatically set the appropriate 12 amp charging current. No need to manually set the current - simply plug it in! Cable length is 18 inches.

This product comes with a 3 year warranty.

Which adapter do you need?

Tesla vehicles delivered prior to December 15th 2017 came with the Gen 1 UMC. If your Tesla came with the Gen 1 UMC, you can use this adapter. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC. If you’re not sure, take a look at the charger cord that came with your car, and compare to the pictures below:

The item works fine. However, it took them a week to even create a shipping number, and it takes them about a week to reply to an e-mail. Pretty awful ordering experience, but I am happy with the adapter itself so far.
