Our NEMA 14-60 adapter lets you charge your Tesla vehicle at NEMA 14-60 (60 amp) outlets. Not to be confused with the more common 50 amp outlets, the NEMA 14-60 has the one horizontally aligned slot. Our unique adapter has been designed with a folding handle for greater convenience and improved safety while using. Using the folding handle, it's a lot easier to unplug when desired, and most importantly it keeps your fingers away from the terminals so you won't get shocked!
For your safety, this adapter has an internal circuit that monitors the plug temperature and communicates with the car to automatically set the appropriate 32 amp charging current. No need to manually set the current – simply plug it in! We use a thicker cable for maximum efficiency and it also is more comfortable to grip onto when connecting and disconnecting it from your Tesla vehicle’s mobile connector. Which adapter do you need?
Tesla vehicles delivered prior to December 15th 2017 came with the Gen 1 UMC. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC. If you’re not sure, take a look at the charger cord that came with your car, and compare to the pictures below:
If your Tesla came with the Gen 1 UMC, it will not work with this adapter. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC and can use this adapter.
