With our J1772 to NEMA 14-50 adapter, you can now charge at all public J1772 charging stations even if you don’t have a J1772 inlet on your vehicle.

This adapter works by using a specially designed circuit inside the plug that basically tricks the charging station into thinking a vehicle is connected and ready to charge.

Features a J1772 inlet and a NEMA 14-50 receptacle. Newly improved - now made with super-flexible high-current EV cable, using 8 AWG pure 100% copper wires - the cable is smaller while at the same time capable of delivering up to 50 amps continuously! It is weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor use.

Super-easy to use – simply activate the charging station as you normally would when plugging in an electric car, then plug in the adapter. The adapter will automatically power on the station, delivering instant power to your tool or appliance. Please disconnect the adapter after use.

This product comes with a 3 year warranty.

Important note: This adapter is not suitable for RV use due to the absence of a neutral connection on the J1772 – it’s intended only for appliances that don’t require neutral. If neutral is required, you could pair it with a Victron Autotransformer to supply true split-phase power. Or if you only need 120V, our EV Charger Power Converter is the perfect fit.

Solid, well-designed

Solid, sturdy and well-designed, works exactly as described. Lights up the source EVSE and provides clean power on a NEMA 14-50. Every EVSE I tested will correctly detect overcurrent (drawing more than the EVSE is signalling) and safety fault out. This adapter can handle it. Nice and compact, while being flexible enough to angle any which way. Useful for powering your own external DC Charger, possibly at higher rates than the car's onboard AC->DC charger.

Works with Emporia EVSE

So far so good. Works perfectly with an Emporia EVSE to power an EG4 Chargeverter. I'm sure it will work fine with other devices that don't use a neutral connection.

Liked it so much I bought a second one!

Works flawlessly. This product allowed me to use a J1772 ChargePoint EV Station to charge the 48v battery system I keep on my box truck using split phase 240v input into my inverter charger! I ordered another one the other day because I like them so much!
