Heavy-duty NEMA 14-50 extension cord for EV only, with folding handles

This extension cord is designed specifically for electric vehicles that plug in to NEMA 14-50 outlets. With this specially designed extension cord, you can plug in to 14-60, 14-50, and 14-30 outlets, commonly found at campgrounds, RV parks, and electric dryer and oven connections. We use a unique universal style plug that can fit all three outlet types. The one end has that universal NEMA 14-30/50/60 plug, while the other end has a standard NEMA 14-50 receptacle for your car charger. Folding handles at both ends keep your hands away from the outlet making it safe and easy to plug in and unplug. Made with heavy-duty weatherproof 6 AWG cable, it can easily handle 50 amps continuous and is suitable for indoor/outdoor use.

Please note, when plugging in to NEMA 14-30 outlets make sure your vehicle will never exceed 30 amps. We recommend following the “80% rule” and set your charging current to 24 amps when charging from NEMA 14-30 outlets.

Technical note: The plug looks a bit different because it is a special design modified to fit more than one type of outlet. We retain the 240V and ground connections and omit the neutral prong. This makes it possible to safely fit all types of NEMA 14 type outlets. The neutral prong is only used to supply 120V and is not used by electric car chargers. Because of this, it’s not suitable for RV use – intended for electric car charging only.

Note about product condition options: We may offer a choice of new or open box condition. The open box item was a cord that was purchased by a customer and after one use at home they decided to install a charger instead - so it was used once and will therefore have some slight scratches along the cord. We have carefully inspected it, and found the damage is only cosmetic and does not affect it. Our product warranty will still apply, so you can purchase confidently, either way.
