Our twist-locking shore power adapter lets you charge your Tesla vehicle at 50 amp locking shore power outlets. These types of outlets are often found in marinas and various other places, and go by various designations (refer to the compatibility list below).

For your safety, this adapter has an internal circuit that monitors the plug temperature and communicates with the car to automatically set the appropriate 32 amp charging current. No need to manually set the current - simply plug it in! Cable length is 12 inches. We use a thicker cable for maximum efficiency, and it also is more comfortable to grip onto when connecting and disconnecting it from your Tesla vehicle's mobile connector. Which adapter do you need?

Tesla vehicles delivered prior to December 15th 2017 came with the Gen 1 UMC. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC. If you’re not sure, take a look at the charger cord that came with your car, and compare to the pictures below:

If your Tesla came with the Gen 1 UMC, it will not work with this adapter. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC and can use this adapter.

Overall, the adapter worked well and everything went smoothly except for one fitment issue.
My female receptacle has inward notches, while the connecting tabs/rods on the male adapter have a small outward bend. Because of this, the adapter would not properly enter the receptacle and could not be securely turned into the locking position.
I had to carefully trim both of the protruding bent sections so that the adapter could fully insert and rotate into place. After making that modification, it fit securely and worked as intended.
Aside from this issue, the adapter appears to be well made and functions properly. However, the fitment problem should ideally be corrected by the manufacturer so that customers don't have to modify the connector themselves.

Male connector tabs were slightly bent outward and interfered with the receptacle
Required trimming/modification to achieve proper fit
Overall: Good adapter, but the connector fit needs to be addressed by the manufacturer.

This connector was exactly what I was looking for and EVSE adapters had the best price and has great quality.

Perfect for Marina-Based Charging

This plug is perfect for me as a boatyard/marina based EV driver. Charging is provided at 32 amps, approx 20 mph of range. If you have access to a 50 amp, 250v outlet, I recommend this adapter.
