Our L6-30 adapter lets you charge your Tesla vehicle at L6-30 outlets. This adapter is compatible with both the Gen 2 and the Gen 3 Tesla Mobile Connector. The L6-30 outlets are found in a variety of locations, particularly where industrial equipment is commonplace. They can also be found in various locations as charging ports for the Nissan Leaf. With this adapter, you can charge your Tesla too.

For your safety, this adapter has an internal circuit that monitors the plug temperature and communicates with the car to automatically set the appropriate 24 amp charging current. No need to manually set the current – simply plug it in! Cable length is 12 inches. We use a thicker cable for maximum efficiency and it also is more comfortable to grip onto when connecting and disconnecting it from your Tesla vehicle’s mobile connector. Made exclusively by EVSE Adapters.

This product comes with a 3 year warranty.


Which adapter do you need?

Tesla vehicles delivered prior to December 15th 2017 came with the Gen 1 UMC. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC. If you’re not sure, take a look at the charger cord that came with your car, and compare to the pictures below:

If your Tesla came with the Gen 1 UMC, it will not work with this adapter. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 or Gen 3 UMC and can use this adapter.

Very expensive other place same quality and cheaper

You get what you pay for - our adapters are made to UL quality standards using 10 AWG pure copper conductors and electroplated terminals. The terminals of the Tesla connector end are supplied by a reputable supplier that specializes in those types of terminals. And our adapter has an embedded microchip with thermal protection inside the plug. Some other adapters that are cheaper use lesser quality terminals and some embed a microchip inside the Tesla connector end to save money on wire, and these have no thermal protection. Ours comes with a 3 year warranty but many others have no warranty.

Perfectly fits my garage L6-30 outlet

Worked perfectly for me. I already had an L6-30 outlet in my garage, and this allows me to charge at 240 volts and 24 amps using the Tesla mobile charger.

Saved me the expense of adding a new circuit

The L6-30 is not the typical plug used ro charge a Tesla, but I already had one pre existing in my garage, so why pay to have something else installed. Tesla doesn't offer an adapter for this so I took a chance on this. It has worked great and I don't require a 50amp circuit since I don't drive that much on an average day. This 24amp is more than enough to change the car in a few hours. This adapter automatically set the max amperage to 24amps when I plugged it in, and so far I have had 0 issues. Thanks EVSE
