European to US Type 2 (IEC / Mennekes) to Type 1 (J1772) EV Adapter

If your electric vehicle has the US standard type 1 (J1772) inlet, you can use this handy adapter to charge at European type 2 (IEC / Mennekes) charging stations. Useful when traveling between countries with differing charging standards, such as China and Taiwan, or Europe and the US. If you're bringing your US vehicle to Europe, this adapter is a necessity. Rated for maximum 32 amps.

We offer two variants of this adapter:

• The compact version of this adapter simply connects to the charger's cord and plugs right in to your vehicle. Note that, due to its ultra-compact design, it does not latch to the vehicle. When using chargers that don't have a cord, you will need to bring your own Type 2 cord.
• The corded version has a Type 2 male connector on the one end which plugs into the European charging stations, and a Type 1 (J1772) female plug on the other end which connects to your vehicle. Cable length is 5 meters (16 ft).
