Need an adapter to fit your Tesla Gen 1 UMC, but can't find the right plug? We've got you covered! We can make custom adapters now with nearly any type of plug you desire, and we will configure it to automatically set the appropriate charge rate.
This adapter will be made with an internal circuit that will communicate with your car to automatically set the appropriate charging current, so there's no need to manually set the current - simply plug it in! Length is about 2 feet.
Please note, custom adapters will usually ship within about 4-8 business days after ordering, depending on parts availability. We can sometimes expedite your order on request, and if we have the plug in stock we may be able to complete it a shorter time.
In most cases, we will make the adapter with the plug type you specify, at no extra cost, but some more obscure/uncommon plugs can be expensive and we may need to adjust the price for these. If this is necessary, we will contact you to obtain your authorization before proceeding. Please mention the required plug type in the notes section when you checkout.
Which adapter do you need?
Tesla vehicles delivered prior to December 15th 2017 came with the Gen 1 UMC. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 UMC. If you’re not sure, take a look at the charger cord that came with your car, and compare to the pictures below:
If your Tesla came with the Gen 2 UMC, it will not work with this adapter - in that case, you'll need one of our Gen 2 adapters instead. All new Tesla vehicles come with the Gen 2 UMC. If your vehicle has the Gen 1 UMC, you can use this adapter.
